Background

I entered the Software Engineering industry in May of 2020 while I was finishing my sophomore year of university during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the pandemic started, I used the spare time I gained to begin to teach myself basic HTML, CSS & JavaScript and made some pretty bad beginner websites. I continued to practice & learn other scripting languages like PHP & Python, the basics of web requests, bundling and Agile development. A few months later, I was offered my first position as a Software Engineer at Delivery Circle.

Delivery Circle is a last-mile logistics start up SaaS with a focus in the automotive industry; primarily used for Tire Delivery. I worked part time at Delivery Circle while I continued to work on my degree from June of 2020 until February 2022 when I was let go from company. During my time there, I became more comfortable with several different technologies including PHP, Laravel, jQuery, Bootstrap, MySQL & more. I worked on several projects with the largest being an order payout dashboard for drivers.

After leaving Delivery Circle, I was hired shortly after by Retail Insights LLC. Retail Insights LLC is an agency that holds a niche in rapidly developing web based software for pharmaceutical wholesalers, and the vendors they wholesale for. At Retail Insights, I've lead & collaborated on internal and client facing tools. Some of those projects include Consumer/Rx drug pricing, promotion & deal bidding, trade-show registration systems, new supplier setup & submission, compliance form handling and more. At Retail Insights, I've mastered tools like Laravel, Livewire, jQuery, Bootstrap & Tailwind CSS, VueJs, MySQL, AWS tools and more.
